Sandwell Lodge No. 4673

West Bromwich

Welcome to the web site of Sandwell Lodge No 4673.

We were a well established and very happy Lodge based at the Masonic Hall, Edward Street, West Bromwich where we met for all of our Lodge meetings* and many other events as well. Our friends and families will no doubt agree that good food and good company prevailed and that our social events have been varied and well attended in recent years.

The Lodge members represented a broad age span and were very keen to be seen to be involved in the wider community at large portraying a positive image of Freemasonry and its place in modern society.

Sadly however the number of members has declined to the point when it became impossible to continue as before. The members took the decision to amalgamate with the stronger neighbouring Walton Walker Lodge No 3847 and approval for this was granted by the United Grand Lodge of England on 10 June 2009. The resulting Lodge will be known as the “Walton Walker and Sandwell Lodge No 3847”.  Look out for their forthcoming website.

It is the fervent hope and wish of the members of both Sandwell Lodge and Walton Walker Lodge that the merged Lodge, “Walton Walker and Sandwell Lodge” will grow and prosper into the future. Indeed, if the new Lodge should – however far into the future – reach the state that it becomes appropriate to split into two separate Lodges again, it is to be hoped that the name of Sandwell Lodge will once again reflect honour upon its members.

Thank you for visiting this site we hope that you will still find it interesting and useful. It was very much under development but sadly no more, but if you have any comments to make or wish to know more please contact us
