CHARITY FESTIVAL 17 OCTOBER 2006

 

Members of Sandwell Lodge No 4673, their wives and partners attended a Charity Evening on Tuesday 17 October 2006 at the Masonic Hall, Edward Street, West Bromwich.

 

During the evening cheques for £1,000 each were presented to seven “local” charities that had been chosen by the members of the Lodge.

A further donation of £3,000 will be made in November 2006 to Staffordshire Masonic Charitable Association.

 

The £10,000 has been raised by the members as part of their ongoing charitable work as Freemasons.

Installation Meeting 21 November 2006

During the last 15 years the Lodge donated over £39,000 to charities (over £16,600 to non-masonic charities)

Installation Meeting 19 November 2008

 

On this occasion the Lodge was able to donate £250 to the Staffordshire Masonic Charitable Association “B” Fund and  a further £250 to The Grand Charity (Staffordshire 2013 Festival). The presentation was made by W.Bro. Maurice Knight, Worshipful Master, to W. Bro. Alan Walker Provincial Grand Almoner.

Final Meeting April 2009

 

Members of Sandwell Lodge, their wives and partners attended a Charity Evening immediately following the final meeting of the Lodge on Tuesday 21 April 2009 at the Masonic Hall, Edward Street, West Bromwich.

 

During the evening cheques for £500 each were presented to five “local” charities that had been chosen by the members of the Lodge.

County Air Ambulance Trust

Wolverhampton Samaritans

Midland Neurological Teaching & Research Fund

Paediatric Trust Fund of Sandwell General Hospital

 

A further donation of £3,000 was made to the Freemasons’ Grand Charity as part of the Province of Staffordshire’s 2013 Festival.
